Nichlos Boyton 5 Gallon Floral Decorated Crock
A nice example from the Vermont potter, Nichlos and Boyton worked in Burlington Vermont in the mid to late 1800's. This pot dates from around 1885-90. It is a 5 gallon size, with straight sides and two dog ear handles. It has the traditional Nichlos Boyton Spiral Flower decoration in cobalt. A bold looking decoration. Small chip on the inside lip and short tight hairline along the lower right side near bottom
